Merry Christmas 2008

The kids with Zhen Jie Van Pol

Ai Ling Van Pol

Isn't she adorable

Sally & Frank

My first year as a Christian ... celebrating Christmas. It feels different cuz this year, I eagerly awaited for Dec 25 to come so that I can go to church for Christmas Worship. We started at 10.30 am, attended worship at church then had a wonderful lunch, thank you Lord! Thanks Kenny, Leon and Joy for joining us on this special day. I hope they will come back again soon.

Then after church we went to do some shopping for Sally's kids. Came back home at 4.30pm to shower and freshen up before going to Pastor's house for dinner. I felt that his house is really very warm and cosy but I never felt that when I was there at other times before. Food was GREAT ! .... we had asam laksa, roast turkey, chicken pie, mash potato (very the creamy n yummy), roast lamb, quiche, pengat ... yummylicious ....

At about 9pm we left for Sally's place ... Great food again, all cooked by her kwai loe hubby. We didnt know that he could cook so well. Her 2 kids were such darlings especially Ai Ling ... she's so adorable like a barbie doll but she wont let you take photos with her or of her but we tried and hope it came out well.

So this whole day has been eating and eating and meeting friends.

Thank you Lord for everything .... we are very fortunate to be in the midst of great friends and good food.

GOL - Gracehill Orchard Lodge 5-6 Dec 2008

This has been a very eventful and meaningful trip for me and my dad. We both got baptized in the waterfalls in the hills of Pahang ...

It was really a surprise to see my dad accepting Christianity and agreeing to getting baptized. II guess God works in his own ways. I actually accepted Christ when I was in Form 4 at school. Then I attended the Wesley Methodist Church every Sunday and I still remember when we were courting, Frank used to attend Sunday services with me. But after I got married I guess I backslided but I'm very happy and thankful to be back again! I think that my dad has changed a little eversince that eventful trip, he does not seem to be so bad tempered as he usually is. That is a good sign and I think we should see more changes as Pastor Mark (my cousin) has mentioned about. More changes in him and also myself. I really hope that I can change for the better, be a better wife, mother and daughter. Actually I felt that I have learned a little more to control my temper and I hope to learn more and grow each day ...

Pastor Mark said that sometime in Feb this year, he asked my dad if it was ok if he prayed for him and my dad said ok and they prayed together. I did not know about this until recently. At that time, he was still having his skin problems etc.

The first time we went to Livingwaters Mission Baptish Church was just for a visit during a CNY gathering for the Wong family early this year. Then it was for Kel Vin's baptism, Bernard's baptism, Bernard & Santhi's wedding and their farewell. My cousins was telling me that my dad would like to go to church every sunday if I would bring him. I was quite surprised but nevertheless we still go whenever there was some family event. We feel very comfortable and at home in this church as everyone is very friendly and warm here.

Then when I found out about this trip, I told Frank about it and he was also quite interested and so we booked Meranti Apartments and was lucky that it was available. Then I gave a call to Kathy and everything was arranged and off we went. The rest was history.

I think God has planned this event in his diary. I did not know what motivated or made us so interested to attend this trip furthermore this was some kind of a church retreat. (should be quite boring etc) Even Pastor said that all this was God's work and his plans for us.

How to really really start an internet business without any fuss or learning tedious computer and program setups and reading tones of information and training tools before you actually see a dime in your bank account.

It’s nothing new, it’s not a new concept, it’s not a trick it’s no scam

Its real hard work and persistence. I am going to be frank with you, it’s not a joy ride and earn with leisure where most of the internet businesses always stress on. Yes, it may be true, but it’s when you made it thru’ after spending lots of time and money learning their secrets.

Let's talk about secrets for awhile... I love internet businesses but I have failed in many of those ventures. Probably there is one set back in my character, I cannot make a killing when I had the opportunity. If you have joined in most of the internet businesses where you don't know anything about it other then those pretty and inspiring write-ups. The chances are you will be annoyed when you know what the secret is all about. Most are nothing more then a key to a empty locker with a piece of note.."Why and how you came in is the secret !" Now its your turn to do it others..!!! NO.. I just can't do it, it doesn't seem right, the last person you want to do it would be your friends. So we are stuck here with no one to turn to but learn how to trick those strangers who happen to pass your website and click it. That is if you have mastered on how to do it and how to promote it and how to set-up the whole trap up. NO.. I just can't do it. But it works all the time, the world is full of strangers and green horns who will fall into this traps. That's how some who have mastered this trick could make hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars.

Let's come to humankind, needless to say, every year millions will be out from schools, colleges and unversities in search for jobs, yes the green horns. So is the same with internet business, everyday there are hundreds of thousands who will be for the first time browsing thru' the internet, there will always be some who will be for the first time, reading such beautiful and inspiring write-ups. So you see, this traps are so effective because, green horns need to learn a lesson to survive in the new world. They are the lunch and dinner of the predators. And that is not my way of how I want to do the internet business so I created my own - open and without secrets. But you won't be a millionaire overnight for sure. You will learn the basics of the internet business of advertising.

A 2008 MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA

Kristin took part in her Yamaha music school concert on 7 December 2008 @ Flamingo Hotel. She played the Jay Chou cowboy song together with the classmates. They had to wear like cowboys, checked shirts and jeans skirts. I think they played quite well ... no big mistakes ... hehe.

One big happy family :)

This month looks like the birthday month ... so many birthday events. There would be one more coming up end of the month!

Well ... this time, it's the 3rd anniversary of DFC - Danell Fan Club. Wowww .... we have been together for 3 years already, how time flies .... and I can very well say that this is the best fan club ever! We have a well mixed of members here and everything is very well organised. Pinkies are well known for their love and support for their idol ... as the song goes "I will follow him" .... hehe:)

But I did noticed that this time, Danell is much more open, more warm and more approachable with everyone ... gives you a very personalised time with him. When he sang, he invited pinkies to go up and sing together with him ... and everyone had a great time! He interacted very well with everyone and obliged to taking personal pictures. Way to go Danell .... and he is still looking good and young! like he never aged! But I think he still needs to put on some more weight ... wish I could give him some of mine ;D
