It has been a long time

Wow it has been a long time since I updated this blog of mine ... well I've been busy with work and stuff ...

Something happened in my life recently which I never expected that it will happen to me. Life is so unpredictable, like the saying goes "Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you're gonna get" ...

I felt the hurt and I cant help myself from thinking about it ... why did it happen ... did I do anything wrong ...

TARA4

Well I was supposed to interview Allan Wu this afternoon ... was quite looking forward to it. Did my preparations etc ... searched all the info I needed and armed with questions to ask him. Then last night when I called the organizers to find out what time I should be there, they told me that the interview was canceled ???? Then I called my editor and she said that a similar article already came out in another paper and this was supposed to be an exclusive one on one interview .... hmmmm. If we were to come out with another similar article one week later ... what will that look like ...

Took Kristin to the gymrama class and then came back and had a restful day with the kids and watched two movies (: Kristin wants to stop her dance class at Yogaria ... very insistently to stop. I just felt that it was a waste to stop the class after being there for so many years but it was her choice.

I still know who she is ...

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80s arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided since I wasnt busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On examining it I saw it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors and got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.
While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.

I inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while! As she is a victim of Alzheimer's disease.
As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.

I was surprised and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?'
He smiled as he patted my hand and said, 'She doesn't know me but I still know who she is.' I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm and thought, ¨

'That is the kind of love I want in my life. True love is neither physical nor romantic'.

True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

Peace is seeing a sunset and knowing who to thank. The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm but how to dance in the rain.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs.

But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Almighty God, you will make it to a place called Success. Pass it on to ten people whom you want to see blessed.

I won a Samsung Handphone again !!!

Well it's been a while since I updated my blog ... been lazy ...

You know what I won another Samsung handphone again !!! This time thanks to Ken Ho for inviting us to the Samsung Fly FM event at Quattro Winter Bar. Not many people turn up for this event cuz it was the first day of puasa. Well guess it was better that way ... keke

I was not feeling that night cuz of my gum infection and I was still under my antibiotics. I only drank a glass of whiskey coke and then water only.

There were 3 handhphones up for grabs. First one was like a competition, the person who did the best DJ (scratching etc) on the phone won it. The second unit was won by someone for some online competition. The third unit was for lucky draw .... They called 3 numbers before calling mine which was number 21. They said the number so softly, I was wondering whether I heard correctly or not. I sprang up and asked around ... is it 21, is it 21 .... then someone answered YES !!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .... I won I won ..... the pain from the gum infection totally dissapeared into thin air ...... I walked over to receive my prize from the GM of Samsung (:

This is the latest Samsung Beat DJ phone ... where you can be like a DJ and do scratching and all sorts of stuff on the song while they are playing on the phone !

I do sincerely thank god for this as he has all the plans for each and everyone of us.

What a coincidence that the place we gathered in Pavilion, the Bintang Circle was where our school canteen was and one of the old girls has a shop lot in Pavilion and her lot was where Ms Cooke's office was before ...

I took leave from work and was there for both events. Met up with Lai Meng, Sow Kien, & Ping Ping. Looks like not many came from our year for the morning event. There were more during the gala night and I finally met up with Nancy ... yes ... our very own Dato' Nancy Yeoh. I remember sitting next to her in class those days. Also met Sheena and some other seniors. I noticed that the young malay girls from this school is very modern and open and sexxxyyyy!

Passing of another great celebrity ... this time our very own award winning film director Yasmin Ahmad. Her interracial love story Sepet (2004) was accorded the Best Film Award and the Best Original Screenplay Award at the Malaysian Film Festival 2005. It also bagged the Asian Film Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival 2005, and the Grand Prix Award at the Creteil International Women's Film Festival in the same year.

Her other films included:

Gubra (2006) -
won the Best Screenplay award at the Malaysian Film Festival 2006

Mukhsin (2006) -
won the Generation kplus - Best Feature Film and the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk Grand Prix award at the Berlin International Film Festival and Best Asean Film at the Cinemanila International Film Festival 2007

Muallaf

Talentime (2009)

Actress Azean Irdawaty wrote a special poem dedicated to Yasmin:

She was an angel
God sent us
No, he lent us
To be a storyteller
Who spun stories of
Magic, joy and enchantment
Who we often lose sight of
Her fight was brief
Her leaving was a grief
Just like her movies
The end came too soon
But her wisdom remain
like words to a tune
That we will hold dear
Forever you will be near.
I love you Yasmin
I will miss you always.

Michael Jackson Memorial Service - 7 July 2009

What a heartfelt and touching moment of tribute to the King Of Pop. Each and everyone said it all and the tears came rolling down ...

The most heart wrenching moment was when Paris talked about her daddy ~~~

"Ever since I was born, daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine And I just want to say that I love him so much"

My tears are still flowing ...

Michael's favourite song "SMILE" ~~~ smile though your heart is aching ~~~

Rest in peace Michael, you are definitely in a much better place now ...

Remembering The Legend - Michael Jackson, The King Of Pop

Sony Music organized a tribute to MJ at 1U on Sunday, 28 June 2009. It was a very memorable event as everyone gathered together to pay tribute to the King Of Pop. We watched videos of him, watched his impersonators dance to his music and some of his biggest fans in the audience danced and sing his music. We signed the big wall with our messages and held candles while singing his songs together in unison. It was indeed a great opportunity for us to be there and pay respect to the one and only Michael Jackson. There were also some touching moments when we could not hold back our tears ....

Yasmin Yusuf was the MC for the night and she was wearing the cap which she bought during the History World Tour in Malaysia in 1996. I brought along my big orange hand, which I bought during the concert, already 13 years old. I am very very glad that we went for that concert and it was worth every cent !!!

Michael has "Gone too soon" but he will always be in our hearts. He may have gone but he left a legacy in his music which will live on forever and ever. We dont care how his eyes, his nose or his cheeks looks like, or what colour is his skin, we only care about how his music has changed the world and make it a better place for you and for me.

REST IN PEACE MICHAEL AND GOD BLESS ....

What's Up

Ayam back !!!

My PC was admitted into the ICU and still not back yet ): .... my hard disk crashed and luckily it was still under warranty and so now waiting for the warranty to come back. Been surfing with someone's laptop on and it was not nice to d/load and u/load stuff in there. Really feels like handicap when you dont have your computer ...

Nothing much happened ... life was quite boring but one thing for sure, I trully regretted not going for the FLH's PC last Saturday ): ): ):

I attended a group discussion on website bookings etc by MAS and had a tour of their training academy in Kelana Jaya .... was quite interesting, will try to post some pics later.

I am truly enjoying my line dancing classes .... cant wait to learn those 64 steps songs ... good exercise too !

Cheap cheap cheep cheep .... MATTA Fair

We drove to PWTC on Sunday, the last day of the fair ... but the police closed the road in front of PWTC because there were too many cars .... who said the economy is no good !!!

Is it that cheap cheap ... well on the surface, yes, but during booking, yet to know ....

Hwajing was offering the following:

3 days / 2 nights in Phuket Free & Easy (c/w rooms, transfers, breakfast & half day city tour),
4 days / 3 nights Guilin Tour (c/w rooms, transfers, all meals and sightseeing tour) and
5 days/ 4 nights Hangzhou/Shanghai Tour (c/w rooms, transfers, most meals and sightseeing tour)

ALL THIS FOR RM 499 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! only for the 1st 300 pax and it is transferable too! Meaning if you only use Phuket and you want to give your parents to go to Guilin and your sister to Hangzhou .... also can!!!

I say this is damn cheappppppppppppppppp but travel period is fro 15 Sep 2009 till 30 Aug 2010. So means they take your cash first and roll but I still say it's cheap cheap. When I enquired, the sales person told me that the 1st 300 already sold, so the price increased to RM 599.00 .... still cheap cheap !!! So they took in cash RM 150,000.00 for this package alone ... how about the other packages they were offering ...

But anyway .... we met some interesting characters all the way from Dreamworld, Gold Coast and Kristin had the "Best Day Ever ...." if you know Spongebob's song ...

One In A Million is back !!!

The host, Awal & Marion
Handsome & pretty
The Judges, Shafinaz & Paul

The one who got immunity, Esther
The top 12

Ning, the vocal coach for this year

One in a million is back and it's supposed to be the best ever ....

Indeed it is !!! We went for the top 12 live show in Plaza Alam Sentral and it was a great show. Each one has their own strength and character and definitely it's the best top 12 they've had! But having said that, I felt that a few did not shine as they should have and basically it's due to the wrong song choice. They should also improve on their stage performance ...

My favourite at this stage would be Esther ... I loved her rendition of "Better In Time" ... waiting to hear it again!
