I won a Samsung Handphone again !!!

Well it's been a while since I updated my blog ... been lazy ...

You know what I won another Samsung handphone again !!! This time thanks to Ken Ho for inviting us to the Samsung Fly FM event at Quattro Winter Bar. Not many people turn up for this event cuz it was the first day of puasa. Well guess it was better that way ... keke

I was not feeling that night cuz of my gum infection and I was still under my antibiotics. I only drank a glass of whiskey coke and then water only.

There were 3 handhphones up for grabs. First one was like a competition, the person who did the best DJ (scratching etc) on the phone won it. The second unit was won by someone for some online competition. The third unit was for lucky draw .... They called 3 numbers before calling mine which was number 21. They said the number so softly, I was wondering whether I heard correctly or not. I sprang up and asked around ... is it 21, is it 21 .... then someone answered YES !!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .... I won I won ..... the pain from the gum infection totally dissapeared into thin air ...... I walked over to receive my prize from the GM of Samsung (:

This is the latest Samsung Beat DJ phone ... where you can be like a DJ and do scratching and all sorts of stuff on the song while they are playing on the phone !

I do sincerely thank god for this as he has all the plans for each and everyone of us.

Part II

Met this guy who wore a jacket on the opposite side, tight pants and red high heels.

Guess what ??? .......... I won second prize in the Samsung Chic Pop party at The Apartment, KLCC on 11 June 2009. I got an invitation from them to attend this very first party organized by Samsung and off we went. Dress code was black with a dash of red ... well I dressed black with red earrings (actually more pink than red). We had free flow alcoholic drinks like "Intensity", red coloured strong stuff, dont know what it was but it was strong and nice! They served cocktail and I had something like chocolate creme puffs ... was delicious as the chocolate creme inside was cold and they whole thing tasted fabs!

When we arrived, we signed in and got ourselves a goodie bag. Then proceeded upstairs for the event. Filled up a questionnaire for lucky draw. Hanged around ... did the DIY phone bag with bling bling. Put the red coloured bling blings on fire and stick them on the phone bag .... but the bling bling comes off very easily. They also have a DIY section to do a head gear with a big red flower and nettings. They have a make up counter by Make Up Store .... where you can go have your make up done by them. Btw we have an envelope in our goodie bag whereby we can get one free private makeup course, which includes skincare at their store worth RM200!

We called Dragon to join us here before going over to Quattro Winter Bar launching at Avenue K. They came over and had some drinks and food.Then we decided to leave and go to Quatrro ( will blog about this later).

We decided to leave Quattro after getting freezed in the winter garden and go back to The Apartment to see if we won anything but on the way back, I got an sms from an unknow number... Congrats Yee Ling, you won second prize ...... whooohoooohoooo.... at least they sms the winners. The retail price is RM1099.00. First prize was the touch screen phone priced at RM1899.00. BTW met Hsien Huey (Pinkies) there and she won a laptop cover .

But at the end of the day .. I felt a bit tipsy and you can definitely see if from my red face ... but my face gets red even with a little bit of alcohol....

Tomok's Kenduri - 12.06.09

Dragon invited us to go for Tomok's (the one in a million season 3 winner) Kenduri at his house in Desa Permai, Cheras. I think it's something like a thanksgiving celebration for winning OIAM. No regrets going cuz we met Jac and her protege there and there were so much food including "tau fu fah"!. His place is a open gated community with guards, looks very nice and warm. I guess a lot of his relatives are also staying there including his sister, Isma. She was the only female in the finals for AF this season. They are celebrating this together.

They even gave away thank you pens to all who came ... very thoughtful of them. The whole family is very friendly.

Here's wishing them the very best in whatever they do and may they soar to greater heights.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009

Wow it's 01.01.2009 ... the first day of the new year.

We spent the night at KL Plaza Suites with a bunch of our dear friends. We had potluck and after dinner we went down to the streets. It was full of people especially along BB area. At the strike of midnight the fireworks shot into the sky ... it was a beautiful sight indeed. We stood at the corner of HSBC opposite Lot 10 away from the concert area. I managed to get the VIP standing area tickets but the guys didnt want to go so I gave the tics to Kimmy to go with her frens. She said it was very crowded and stuffy in there and they did not stay through the whole concert. Of course they got sprayed with all the foams stuff ... We were lucky as we stood clear from all those who were spraying and did not get wet!

I went for the yearly ex-Ho Hup staff luncheon affair at the East of Highway Restaurant. This time I think more people came including Dato' HHL. The first thing he said to me was, how is your father .... and telling the others .... I know her father for many years already. Dato is such a sweet and caring person. The food was good and they even had "yee sang" ... actually CNY is just around the corner.

So what will 2009 have for us .... a lot of financial woes .... I'm really scared of reading about the credit crunch all over the news and that it's going to be bad this year. I prayed during the fireworks and really prayed that 2009 will not be as bad as everyone says that it would be. Many said that we would be feeling the effect around March/April but for now I still see many people in the expensive restaurants / hotels, having dinner and dance to celebrate around BB area.

As for me, I really hope to be a better person, save money, guide my kids in the best way possible and grow in my faith. I really hope and pray that everything will be better for us.

My first year as a Christian ... celebrating Christmas. It feels different cuz this year, I eagerly awaited for Dec 25 to come so that I can go to church for Christmas Worship. We started at 10.30 am, attended worship at church then had a wonderful lunch, thank you Lord! Thanks Kenny, Leon and Joy for joining us on this special day. I hope they will come back again soon.

Then after church we went to do some shopping for Sally's kids. Came back home at 4.30pm to shower and freshen up before going to Pastor's house for dinner. I felt that his house is really very warm and cosy but I never felt that when I was there at other times before. Food was GREAT ! .... we had asam laksa, roast turkey, chicken pie, mash potato (very the creamy n yummy), roast lamb, quiche, pengat ... yummylicious ....

At about 9pm we left for Sally's place ... Great food again, all cooked by her kwai loe hubby. We didnt know that he could cook so well. Her 2 kids were such darlings especially Ai Ling ... she's so adorable like a barbie doll but she wont let you take photos with her or of her but we tried and hope it came out well.

So this whole day has been eating and eating and meeting friends.

Thank you Lord for everything .... we are very fortunate to be in the midst of great friends and good food.

This month looks like the birthday month ... so many birthday events. There would be one more coming up end of the month!

Well ... this time, it's the 3rd anniversary of DFC - Danell Fan Club. Wowww .... we have been together for 3 years already, how time flies .... and I can very well say that this is the best fan club ever! We have a well mixed of members here and everything is very well organised. Pinkies are well known for their love and support for their idol ... as the song goes "I will follow him" .... hehe:)

But I did noticed that this time, Danell is much more open, more warm and more approachable with everyone ... gives you a very personalised time with him. When he sang, he invited pinkies to go up and sing together with him ... and everyone had a great time! He interacted very well with everyone and obliged to taking personal pictures. Way to go Danell .... and he is still looking good and young! like he never aged! But I think he still needs to put on some more weight ... wish I could give him some of mine ;D
