Kristin's Dancing Class

Kristin joined this dancing class about 6 months ago and now they will be having their very first concert on 12 July 2008. They have been invited to perform for Kristin' s school fund raising event on 5 July 2008. In fact Kristin is also taking part in this fund raising event, she will be performing a dance number.

She just loves to sing and dance .... I hope that she will go far in the future. I have asked her to choose which one she loves the most, singing or dancing. In fact I put it as which one would you join, OIAM or SYTYCD and she said she dont know ... hehe ... I think maybe both. Or maybe by then it's some other competitions liao ... haha ...

Friends and Such ...

Firstly, my PC has been brought back to life with more memory and a 19" LCD screen. I had the new hard disk partition so that each Kevin, Kimberly and myself have our own drive. I asked them to save their stuff in their respective places and not go all over the place.

Coming back to the title .... I have met many frens, small big with all sorts of colours, in my life and especially more when I started foruming and attending the MI & OIAM live shows. I think my life began to get more interesting when I attended all those events, concerts etc....

But actually what are frens in a nutshell .... some whom I thought were good frens seems not ... I am confused ! Sometimes I feel that frens take you for granted which I think that is not the way to be .... and sometimes I feel that some are a bit hypocrite ... hmmm I dont really know how to put it in words.

I think I better spend more quality time with the family which will be more worth it .....

Feeling so out of touch

You know what ?? My PC finally gave up on us and after an auto shut down by itself, it could not be booted up again ... not even a whimper. Now I am thinking of whether to buy a new set or take it for repair ....
It has been giving problems past week by shutting down automatically and we have to start it again but that day it shut down PERMANENTLY !!!
So I'm writing this in the office and I dont think I can be doing this so often here but anyway ... I will make a decision soon.
And I really feel like dont know what to do without the pc and I guess my kids too! Kevin has been trying to press the start button now and then hoping for a miracle ... hehe but the miracle did not happen ... poor boy!

RM 3.00 for a plate of chicken rice ???

YES !!! There is a stall which is still selling a plate of chicken rice for RM3.00! They never increased the price when the price of rice increase and now when petrol has gone up, they are still selling at RM3.00 per plate. And the portion is the same and I think slightly more than those selling RM 3.50 and above. I really do not know how much other stalls are selling because I have only been buying chicken rice from this stall. It's located in the coffee shop called Peng Ling in Prima Setapak. You guys can check it out ... There is also one stall selling fishhead noodle, fishball noodle, pork ball noodle, herbal pork noodle and a dried one with sauce using yee mee .... all around RM 3.30 - RM 4.00 and the portion is quite big!

I'll update with some pictures soon .....

Jungle Trekking / Canopy Walk @ FRIM Kepong 8 June 2008

What a great day it was though it rained in the morning and we hesitated whether to go or not. But finally we decided to go because we planned for so long already. But the weather was cooling due to the rain and just nice for our trekking.

I brought the whole family including my dad. I was a bit worried for him ... dont know if he can make it but he did!!! Well done Dad. He said that it was quite tough especially the ascending part to the canopy walk. Yes it was also for me and some others ... but all in all ... it was a good trip and Kristin and Kevin told me that they wanna go again especially the canopy walk. But not Kimberly ... haha... she told me that her legs were shivering and she could not move fast but whatever she made to the end ! Good girl.

We had lunch at the Malay Tea House after the trek. The food was okay but a bit pricey but the house was very nicely decorated and very traditional like. We went to the picnic/camping area to have a look at the waterfall. Nothing to shout about there cuz there were litter strewn about. They should upkeep this place nicely because it is a very nice place.

We ended up at the Malay House but it was not open for us to go in. So we decided to take a group photo before calling it a day.

Thanks to Kenny who organized this trip. I think he is good trip/outing organiser !

Pictures credit to Faiz. Those not so clear are mine, taken with the handphone.

My dad is 71 this year and I decided to throw a surprise birthday party for him. I was enquiring with all the red box on the prices etc and decided on Red Box Plus at The Pavilion. It's got buffet lunch with free flow of soft drinks (plus one hot drink each like capuccino, espresso, coffee or miloe) and they throw in 4 hours of karaoke (11:00 am - 3:00 pm). That sounds like a good deal at RM 27.50 nett person (inclusive of 10% tax). In the end, they gave us another hour ... we sang until 4 pm!!! The bill was share by 3 of us, myself, Calvin & Jason.

The room was awesome ... very spacious for all 24 of us and they gave us 4 wireless mics. But one thing abt the wireless mics ... it runs out of battery quite fast and we had to get the staff to change the mics for us.

Generally the food was okay only but of course you go to Red Box to sing and food should not matter but certain stuff was good like the chocolate cake and certain dishes like the curry chicken was not too bad too! They even got salmon, prawns and crabs .... value for money. The service was not too bad too!

Dad never suspected anything at all ... and I think he was happy just that he is a quiet person who does not talk much or show expression. Actually when we reached there, I called Calvin and he said that some were not there yet so we had to walk a bit before going up and the kids was asking where are we going ??? Then when we entered Red Box, I told my dad that we are going in there for some singing and buffet lunch ... my dad gave me a weird look .... keke ... :)
