Second Chance

How many people will get a second chance in life ? Well I really put my hats off to DSAI for making it a second time, after all that he has gone through! I am not a supporter of any parties and neither do I like or dislike him. But I felt that he really showed us something that no matter what happens, we must work hard and continue to strive towards what we want in life.

Our country's 51st merdeka is just around the corner. I trully agree that in some ways, we have proceeded forward positively but there is still much work to be done. Hopefully with this change, something good which benefits the people from all walks of life will come into place soon.

At these times, I trully wish for PEACE, LOVE and HARMONY and may god's richest blessings be upon our leaders to lead us through to the correct path.

Time flies ... end of the Beijing Olmypics

Well it's the end of Beijing Olympics today and the closing ceremony is live at 8.00pm tonite! Congrats to our only medalist, Lee Chong Wei for getting the silver in the men's single. He's mighty rich now and also given a pension of RM 3K per month for life. He will also be getting a "Datuk" title on of this month. Do you think he should be given the pension and datuk title ....

Anyway ... it's also coming to the last 4 months of the year. It's time for life reflections ...

Nothing extra ordinary happened but things arent looking the best for us but we will try to pull through it!

HK Stars @ Summit USJ 17 August 2008

Took the whole family to watch Har Yue, Lee See Kei, Yeung Yee and Chan Ho, stars of Heart of Greed and Moonlight Resonance of Astro On Demand at Summit USJ. There was a quite a big crowd there and we were standing on the side. When they came, we managed to go into the vip section but the crowd was pushing here and there!

They played two games with fans whom they chosed. One game was with the ping pong ball and the other was guess the name of the show soundtrack.

Yeung Yee looks much prettier in person and Chan Ho looked great too!

Koh Samui here we come ....

Yeah!!! Finally booked our tickets with Firefly at the MITM Travel Fare on 15.08.08 @ PWTC. All fares were going for RM 3.00 per way and including taxes etc we had to pay RM 342.00 per person all in as compared if we were to book online it is about RM600.00 per person.

I told Dragon and Kenny about this Firely promo and asked if they wanted to join us for this trip and you know what ??? Kenny and Leon will be coming along ...yipeee !!! Kenny went and book on Sunday.

Anyway, Firefly will be having another promo at the MATTA Fair on 5-7 Sept and I think prolly they will have this promo price ... so it's still not too late yet.

Now we are looking for an affordable and convenient hotel for Kenny & Leon and for our 3rd night. And also looking at all the day tours available in the island. Found one which cost about RM 170/person, whole day tour from 9.00am - 6.00pm ... looks very interesting and it should cover most of the attractions there.

Anyone else interested to join us ....... :)

Villa Lawana - Koh Samui

Frank won a 3D/2N stay at Villa Lawana. I think this is a 5/6 star resort in Koh Samui. Googled and found that the price for one nite stay in the cheapest room with is the Deluxe Balcony is about RM 1,000.00 !!! Can check out their website : http://www.villalawana.com/

It really looks very very nice and inviting. Was thinking whether we should go or not. It is valid until 30 Nov 2008. Oct and Nov would be the wet season over there with rain almost every day. The only airline which flies directly to KS is Berjaya Air and their fare is so costly at RM 941.00 per person. With Berjaya membership, it will cost RM 865.00, not much difference. The other way would be going to Bangkok first and then take another flight to KS, or ferry or train. This would be time consuming and in total it may end up to be the same price.

THEN .... thanks to a colleague of mine who asked me to book firefly, I discovered that firefly will be starting direct flights to KS on 26 October and their fare is much cheaper (about RM 500 - 600 plus) ! But they only fly on mon, wed,fri and sun and the return flight timing is not good. They leave Subang (yes !!! Subang airport ... been ages since I went there to board a plane) at 9.35 and reach KS at 10.35 am (KS time) and then at 10.55 am they will leave KS for Subang. So one can hardly do anything on that day.

And we only have 2 nites stay so we have to book another day at another hotel, of course, we cannot afford a RM 1,000.00 per room per nite hotel !! If we dont have another nite, we dont have enough time to spend in KS. We thought of going on Fri and returning on Mon. So we have half day on Fri and 2 full days for Sat & Sun. Hmmmm ... shall we go ... second honeymoon .... but finance are quite tight at the moment ....

After Farah's event, myself , Dragon & Anas proceeded to Ruums for the finale show. We were there about 6pm plus and went up. Chatted with some of the contestants and also met Noor & Alam. They were being interviewed by Berita Harian. Soon after, the contestants had to go in for their make-up and dressing. Then went downstairs to pass the tickets to Lyn and chatted for a while. Then went back up at about 8pm. The media were treated to a buffet dinner upstairs and there were free flow of ribenas ... thanks to the sponsors!

It was a good show, good opening number and they even brought in Zainal Abidin with his trademark songs. The crowd were great and I saw many wearing CC's t-shirt ...

All 4 of them deserved to be in the finals. Each one of them have their own speciality so to say and it was very hard for me to choose .... 4 different character with their own genre ... hmm

But we must have a winner and Malaysia has chosen.....

CONGRATULATIONS TO CECELIA .... you go girl !!!! :)

CC won 35% followed by Hong at 31% ...It was a close fight but nevertheless, everyone of them is a winner in their own rights!

Farah's Roscani Event @ Hard Rock Cafe - 1 Aug 2008

Farah invited us to attend her endorsement event with Roscani at Hard Rock Cafe. Frank could not go as he will be away in Penang for the MAKSAK games. So I took half day leave and made my way down at about 1.30. Reached Life Centre early at about 2pm plus and walked over to Concorde and waited. Then at about 2.45 pm I saw Zai and another girl walking past Concorde towards HRC and I went to join them. The event only started about 4.10 pm with Farah singing 3 songs, one of which is her latest singles and I think she did very well. I like the last song "I Kiss" very much, fast catchy number and she handled it well. After this we had the press conference where the Director of Jun Lee Sdn Bhd and Farah gave their speeches. After the PC, the reporters took turns to interview her. Saw Fariz there too and had a few words with him ... looks like they are still good frens. Mark was also there and I think he looks so much cuter now than when he was at OIAM. He said that he is based here now and staying with his cousin in Wangsa Maju. He also said that he will be coming out with a mini album soon. Good luck to you Mark !!!

The food was great at HRC ... especially the salmon on bread crust ... yummy and so were other stuff. We had a choice of coke or ice lemon tea for drinks. Actually it was my first time at HRC (yeah so jinjang hor ....) but I think it's a better place than PH ... more spacious and open. Anyway would not mind going again there ...

THE DOOR GIFT FOR MEDIA WAS A ROSCANI WATCH WHICH COST RM 368 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are so generous and Dragon should thank me for telling him about this event if not they would not have gotten one each! Anas met the organisers for this event and ask him to get one more for me and he said that they only prepared 70 bags and they did not expect so many media (abt 120) turned up. But he will arrange one set to be sent to her. Well .... we shall see !

Anyway .... congrats to Farah for this endorsement deal and also her new singles. Wishing her all the very best and may her career soar to even greater heights.
