Thriving in challenging times

We attended a Feng Shui talk by Joey Yap at the Plenary Hall, KL Convention Centre, today, courtesy of my dear friend Jessie. Well being a christian, I think we are not supposed to believe in all these stuff but I'm not one that is overly into this but just that we got free tickets so just go and listen. Joey Yap was saying that Feng Shui has nothing to do with religion ....hmmmm

Anyway ... it was quite enlightening but in a way also a bit confusing but like I said, I'm not so into this stuff so I just hear and get the basic points lah.

Industries that will do well in 2009 - Wood Industry :
~ Academic
~ Education
~ Agriculture
~ Farming
~ Health

Weakest industry - Metal:
~ Financial industry
~ Automotive
~ Plant & Machinery
~ Legal Professiong

Where propery is concerned, buying and selling is on a decrease and there will be a surge in property rental.

General increase in health problems, especially health problems related to food poisioning.

Consider investing more in education as it will bear fruit later on.

There will be lots of internal disputes in companies and organisations.

Government may face defiance from their citizens, or outright rebelliousness.

Focus on activating the Southeast sector of your home or office and if you want getting more support from Nobleman or helpful people (Kwai Yan) , focus on the Northwest sector as well.

General guid for Feng Shui of 2009:

Southeast - Good finances returns and the possibility of career advancement. The primary wealth sector for the year.

Southwest - Good for career progress. Changes in work environment. Possible medial complications.

Wets - Potential for real estate and property gains. Nagging health complications.

Northeast - Constant arguments and heated disagreements. Legal complications and lawsuits.

East - Turbulent emotions. Medical complications. Competitive work environment.

Northwest - New ventures and new beginnings. Couples can tie the knot or start a family. Seconday wealth sector for the year.

North - The most negative sector of the year. Avoid important activities. Beware of accidents and mishaps.

South - Good for studies and scholarly pursuits. Travel. Romance.

He touched on some face reading as well and he was saying that those with double, rounded, slightly protuding and broad chins will do well. Must have thick eyebrows and it must not be sparse at the end.

Pesta Ang Pow 2009 @ RTM

On Sunday we attended the recording for Pesta Ang Pow 2009 at Angkasapuri. Danell, Suki, Vick, Karen Kong and a few others were performing together with the Aifm DJs. Personally I thought it was a very good show and this time the dancers are way more professional than last year's and it really looks like it CNY :)

Everyone looked great especially Suki ... she looked very pretty and photogenic is all the pics.

Do watch out for this show. I heard that it will be shown on the 1st day of CNY and see if you can spot me in the audience ....

Back To School 05.01.2009

Kristin sitting at the school hall
with some of her friends

in the classroom ... same class teacher as last year

Today it's the first day of school for all 3 of them. Kimmy was worried that she could not wake up at 6am ... as we all know that she's sleeps like a pig!

After breakfast, I went to enquire about the new tuition place. For primary school they have tuition 5 days a week 1 1/2 hours each time. And they also throw in 3 hours of BM Karangan on Saturdays and all this for RM 130.00. On top of this, if you have homework, you can come earlier or later by 1 1/2 hours and they will have someone to guide you. I think this is good value ... They will start the chinese subject in Feb and it's just an additional RM 30.00 per month.

Jennifer also went there to enquire today for Zen Mun ... same place so coincidently and so we agreed to let the girls start tonight. They have 2 sessions for PMR, 2.30 - 4.00pm or 8.30-10.00pm.

I think I want to let Kevin try for this tuition as well ... cuz I dont see much improvement at Emily's place for them ... hmmm but quite difficult to tell this to her though ... she's such a nice lady. But for Kristin .... I think I will maintain her at Emily's place until next year ... see how lah.
