Danell Lee Musical Showcase 27 Feb 2009

Danell had his very first musical showcase something like a mini concert last night at the Auditorium in Wisma MCA.

He has come a long since winning Malaysian Idol in 2005 and we have been behind him all these while. I am sure his parents is very proud of him and so are we. He has proved that he is capable of going great stuff once he has set his mind on and successfully took us on a spectacular journey to see the other side of Danell Lee in that short moment of time. In my opinion, Danell is ready to take on more challenging task in the music arena.

Quoting his father ....

"Every detail is personally supervised by Danell himself, the lights and sound effects, the timing... the backdrops, where the band and equipments will be. Where to come in and how to go out have to be rehearsed and plan before hand. The backup singers have to be trained and every tune practiced because they were never in such a grand show before. Every second and minute has to be calculated to fill in the one hour show. It is a first for him to be a performer and event manager and art director all rolled into one. Not because they can't afford one but for the sake of the satisfaction of wanting it the way it is visioned"

Congratulations and well done !!! Danell has certainly achieved what he aimed to do and we all went home wanting more from him ... besides having a "high fever" ....

I wish Danell all the very best in his next step in the music industry and to keep up the good work and always reach for the stars ...

One in a million is back and it's supposed to be the best ever ....

Indeed it is !!! We went for the top 12 live show in Plaza Alam Sentral and it was a great show. Each one has their own strength and character and definitely it's the best top 12 they've had! But having said that, I felt that a few did not shine as they should have and basically it's due to the wrong song choice. They should also improve on their stage performance ...

My favourite at this stage would be Esther ... I loved her rendition of "Better In Time" ... waiting to hear it again!

Wow the 14 days of CNY passed so very quickly and now it's the last day of CNY ... Happy Chap Goh Mei to all. I wonder if people still go and through oranges in the sea ....

Well CNY has been the same for us and this time we had our gathering at 3rd uncle's house in Taman Midah. This year we made a change. After going to visit MIL, we went to my dad's house and then straight to 3rd uncle's house. Means this year we missed Frank's eldest aunty's place. If we would have gone to his aunty's place, we will be very late so this year we were the second earliest to the gathering and many were quite surprised to us there so early :) ... anyway ... it was good to gather once a year and this time we took a family picture of the whole gang except for Philip who had to leave to go to Sitiawan. Still waiting for Alvin to send us the photos.

We had a small open house on Saturday night and we could not invite some due to the food matter. But all in all it was fun and we had 2 big plates of yee sang and everyone including the kids were also tossing them up high .... the higher the better ... for a better and good year ahead !
